Safe journey, Ericka!/Šťastnou cestu, Eričko!
It has only been a few months since I introduced Ericka Young the new teaching assistant from Washington state, the USA at this website. The school holiday has just started for both teachers and students and Ericka is on her way back home./Jen pár měsíců uběhlo od doby, co jsem na těchto stránkách představovala naši americkou asistentku ve výuce Ericku Young ze státu Washington v USA. Učitelům i studentům právě začaly prázdniny a Ericka je na cestě domů do Ameriky.
Let me use the school website to thank Ericka once again for her stay and work at this school. Not only students but the teachers too were able to learn a lot of new and interesting facts about history, geography and life of the USA. We all had a unique opportunity to talk to a „real“ American, ask her and find out how things in the USA work, try American food. We also value that Ericka became a member of the school orchestra. She played the violin and was one of the best!
We all wish Ericka safe journey home and all the best in her future studies and a dream career of medical doctor! It often happens that not all words are expressed in the right time and therefore I enclose a few messages from the students who did not manage to say a proper good bye…

Ráda bych touto cestou Ericce ještě jednou moc poděkovala za její roční působení na gymnáziu. Nejen studenti ale i učitelé se dozvěděli spoustu nových skutečností a zajímavostí z historie, zeměpisu i reálií USA. Všichni jsme měli jedinečnou příležitost bavit se s „pravou“ Američankou, vyptat se jak to či ono v Americe funguje, ochutnat americké dobroty. Velkým přínosem bylo i její působení ve školním orchestru, kde hrála na housle a patřila k jeho oporám.
Přejeme Ericce šťastnou cestu a ať jí se daří v dalším studiu a její vysněné kariéře lékařky! Jak to bývá, často osobně nestihneme říci vše, co bychom chtěli, takže připojuji i pár vzkazů od studentů, kteří se nestihli rozloučit…

Hodiny se mi líbily, ale někdy jsem se musel dost snažit, abych porozuměl tomu, co říkáš!
Celý rok byl super a chutnalo mi i to, co jsi nám uvařila! Děkujeme za sladké brambory, ty byly nejlepší, mňam!
